THE ALLIEZ

When
THE ALLIEZ take the stage, prepare to go on a musical journey that
starts in the Hawaiian Islands and lands somewhere along the Northern
Cali coast. Defining a new Pacific sound, THE ALLIEZ have it: hard
driving rhythms, conscious lyrics, grooving bass lines, and scorching
guitar solos. Formed in 2006 on Maui, THE ALLIEZ create a reggae rock
sound that is infectious. THE ALLIEZ have played sold out shows across
the state of Hawaii, from Hilo to Hanalei with bands like Pepper,
Groundation, Agent Orange, Ooklah the Moc, D.I. and Mike Pinto.
Jacob
Abeytia (Vocals and Rhythm Guitar), raised on Maui has been surrounded
by good vibes, good people and the beauty of the islands. His powerful
and thoughtful lyrics blend perfectly with a backdrop of flowing,
catchy melodic rhythms.
Ben Cerda (Bass Guitar) born in Chile,
raised in Northern California, has been residing in Maui for the last
eight years. Ben has a life-long love of music, instilled in him by his
musician parents. The heavy rhythms of reggae, funk and rock influence
his Latin roots to make him the stand out bassist that he is.
Brian
Sykes (Lead and Rhythm Guitar) of Humboldt County grew up playing every
style of music from reggae, rock, metal punk, blues and funk. Formerly
the guitar player for Thicker Than Thieves of San Diego, Brian has
proved to be one of the most admired guitarists out there.
Jesse
Smith (Drums) of Hawaii has been playing drums his whole life. He is a
solid, “stay-in-the-pocket” drummer and has some of the hardest hitting
grooves. Jesse is a legend on the Islands and has played every venue on
every island in Hawaii. He is the heartbeat of THE ALLIEZ.
Just
after the release of their 2008 demo to radio stations and industry
professionals, THE ALLIEZ songs “Higher Ground” and “Till You Say Stop”
have found their way into regular radio rotation. The requests are
strong and everyone is anxiously waiting for the release of their
full-length CD in July 2009.
THE ALLIEZ form a tight unit that
is sure to make you move, groove and think positive. The main
priorities of THE ALLIEZ are forging a new sound and moving crowds
around the world.
